JSAF Enoshima Olympic Week 2016 is running from Oct. 13th to 16th, with some of best known top sailors starting to test next olympic waters in Japan. Event is organized by Japan Sailing Federation, Asian Sailing Federation and World Sailing.
Top sailors started testing Tokyo 2020 waters at Enoshima Olympic Week
Matthew Wearn AUS (1-8-1), Lorenzo Brando Chiavarini GBR (4-1-2) and Luke Elliot AUS (3-4-3) are leading the Laser Standard fleet after 3 races.
Charlie Buckingham USA (BFD-2-6) and Christopher Barnard USA (6-6-4) from the US Sailing Team are located in 5th and 6th places respectively, among 19 athletes.
Laser Radial fleet is governed by current Olympic Gold medalist Marit Bouwmeester NED (UFD-1-1), followed by Dongshuang Zhang CHN (1-8-2) and Min Gu CHN (4-2-13).
Alison Young GBR (5-3-7) and Emma Plasschaert BEL (6-12-3) are placed 5th and 6th respectively, among 29 participants.
Local Shione Suganuma JPN (1-1-1) is dominating Laser 4.7 competition with perfect score, among 18 boats.
