Tight competition after 4 races, with three sailors on podium just separated by one unit. Matthew Wearn AUS leading with 29 points. Current Laser World champion Nick Thompson GBR and World ranked #1 Tom Burton AUS following with 30.
Local Robert Scheidt BRA in fourth with 38. Current Olympic Silver medalist Pavlos Kontides CYP in fifth with 44 pt.

III Copa Brasil de Vela 2015 – Laser Women
With four races completed is belgium Evi Van Acker BEL (13 pt) who’s leading women’s competition in Rio de Janeiro, with precious 7 points gap over her rival Marit Bouwmeester NED (20 pt) in second. Third place for french Marie Bolou FRA with 24.
Recent Laser Radial World champion Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Mathilde de Kerangat FRA also closed with 28 and 29 points respectively.
Local Fernanda Decnop BRA is in 7th place with 42. Recent Olympic Test Event’s champion Gintare Scheidt LTU is in 8th with 43 pt.
Youth men and women sailors were also invited to race this Laser Radial competition, lead by Henry Marshall USA in 15th.
